Mum’s Chicken Biryani

Marinated chicken thigh meat slow-cooked with basmati rice and Akila’s home made masala. Delicately flavoursome and satisfying.

I learnt to make this unique biryani for my kids but it’s become my signature dish and our best seller. – Chef Akila.


Yorkshire Dales Chicken Thighs (Skinless, Boneless & Diced), Water, Basmati Rice, Onion, Coriander Leaves, Mint, Tomatoes, Coconut Milk, Ginger, Garlic, Butter Ghee (Milk), Yogurt (Milk), Green Chilli, Cashew Nuts, Salt, Chilli Powder, Cardamom Seeds, Cinnamon, Cloves, Lemon Juice, Turmeric.

Heating Instructions

ALLERGENS: For allergens, see ingredients in bold.

Always ensure food is thoroughly heated and piping hot before serving.

MICROWAVE (850W): Cook from frozen. Remove sleeve, pierce film & cook on full power for 5 minutes. Peal film, gently mix, re-cover and cook for another 3 minutes.

Rest for 2 minutes. Gently fluff-up with a fork before serving.

Appliances vary, adjust timing accordingly.

SERVING: Serve hot with yoghurt/raita/salad. Optionally, with a curry of
your choice.
