I did my first order a couple of weeks back. I bought the vegetarian curries selection of 7 dishes, and then the lamb curry meal for one. All were fantastic! Somewhere between gourmet and homemade in character, combining the best of each. Very fresh, clean flavors, not too hot -- some people may want to chop up a couple of green chili peppers - but all well-spiced and very satisfying. Ample portions. Will order again, soon!
Excellent food good taste & portions will order again soon, my only critique is that there is no real indication of the strength of the curried on the website only on the wrapper when I receive them I quit like strong curry but my wife prefers mild so it's proving a little difficult
Very user friendly website. Clear descriptions and easy to navigate.
Positive: Authentic flavours; well-packaged and arrived as requested. Prawn curry was easily enough for two meals for me, and tasty.
Negative: a bit short on the main ingredient of most dishes. Eg (very slim) hubby had no problem eating the lamb curries “for two” in one sitting, and I ate all the aubergines in mine on the first day and added more on the second. Planning the “hot” beef curry and the spinach dal tonight, so we’ll see….
Expensive, but nice easy meals.

There is plenty of good quality meat
The Prawn curry is delicious with loads of prawns .
I have purchased 2 orders and will be placing another one
I am reluctant to buy local take aways now as there is only 4-5 pieces of meat and loads of sauce so no comparison
We live in Huddersfield and it's hard to find a good authentic curry (and we're from Bingley so have been spoilt until 9 years ago)
All the dishes were amazing and would highly recommend. Just about to do another order and Chicken 65 is definitely on the list again.

The chicken dishes, prawn and dhals were very good indeed , however the jury is out on the paneer ,the sauce was fine but we found the paneer tasteless.
All in all very good quality and we shall certainly return.
Great food, good portions with plenty of meat, delivered well packaged and on time.
Unlike the majority of take aways Chef Akila meals can be relied on to be fresh without ultra processed ingredients or seed oils.
Cannot beat tasty plus healthy curries.

However, we tried a new experience of ordering from Chef Akila and having our special nights food ready cooked in the freezer.
Totally different from supermarket curries,

Ordered 5 variations and used 2 of them. Both perfect and really authentic. Substantial portion. Excellent delivery service and packaging. Overall highly recommended.
