I ordered my first Chef Akila package just before Christmas. The Spinach Daal Kooto was the best daal I have ever had and I am a regular visitor to India. Dont let the fact it scores as 2 chillis put you off as it is not hot as my wife who doesn't like too spicy loved it. the flavour is where the spice is, not the amount of chillis. It was so good I ordered a family pack for Christmas which was equally as good and the left over served for a snack the next day.
The remainder of the meals I have so far tried have been equally as good. We have friends who are gluten free and my daughter is dairy free and loves curry. there is a wide range of choice which caters for these individuals.
I have recommended Chef Akila to lots of friends so far and all who have tried have been delighted.

Bought these for two sets of friends this Christmas, one of whom is from Sri Lanka, so I was a bit worried that he might find fault with the food!
But they all loved the food, and thought it was a brilliant present.
Weirdly, his brother is called Akila! But Chef Akila appears to be female lol

I wanted something a bit different to give my son & daughter-in-law for Christmas. When I saw Chef Akila on Facebook I thought a gift card would be perfect as they both enjoy a good curry. They can’t wait to try it out.

I wasn’t a fan of spicy food but a few days after the surprise I decided to order myself some! Oh what a surprise to me , I absolutely loved the first one and will reorder in a few weeks.
